Appreciate from afar the Clérigos Tower, designed and decorated by the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni. Easily seen from different parts of the city center, this tower offers stunning views over Porto (no entrance included).

🚶 City Exploration

Explore Aliados Avenue, the main city centre, impressive for the façades of the buildings that surround it. The grey tones of this huge avenue will surprise you – there’s a picture to be taken everywhere you look!

One of the main attractions in Porto is a mandatory stop in this tour: the São Bento Railway Station. Enter this train station and observe its twenty thousand painted tiles to discover the History of Portugal. You will surely be surprised – this place looks like a real tile museum!

From Lisbon, we will visit one of the largest relics that the wonderful village of Sintra offers: the Quinta da Regaleira, known for its unique cultural and natural beauty. Along with the Historic Centre of Sintra, the Palace and Quinta da Regaleira were classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

The Quinta da Regaleira is one of the most beautiful examples of the revival art of the 20th century. It consists of:

  • A Palace
  • A chapel
  • A forest
  • Luxurious gardens with exotic trees and abundant vegetation
  • A tunnel network connecting all the buildings

In the Palace, admire the beautiful architecture, large rooms, and fine details. You will discover the secrets that the Quinta da Regaleira has kept over the years: mysterious meanings of Freemasonry and the Knights Templar, including tunnels, Gothic towers, and fortified stone walls.

🏯 Visit to Pena National Palace

Afterwards, visit the Pena National Palace, one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. From the outside, you’ll see a unique blend of architectural styles ranging from Neo-Gothic to Neo-Manueline and Neo-Moorish (dating back to the 1840s). Inside, admire tiled decorations with trompe-l'oeil painted walls.

🌊 Return via Cascais

We will return to Lisbon through Cascais, a village known for its closeness and deep connection to the sea and ocean. Highlights include Guincho Beach, a popular spot for surf fans.

🏙️ Barcelona City Tour

Enjoy the city tour of Barcelona. We first head to the stalls of Santa Catarina Market, a huge trove of local produce beneath a colourful, undulating roof. Hang out with the locals as they select the best produce that they’ll transform into big weekend family meals.

The city is famous for its architecture, from its impressive gothic main cathedral to the houses, concert halls, palaces, and basilicas designed in the unique Catalan Modernista style. The master of this movement was Antonio Gaudi, whose eccentric creations are dotted all over the city.

Explore Gaudi's masterpiece, the modern cathedral of La Sagrada Familia – a must-see. Gaudi worked on this hugely ambitious project for decades until his death, and it remains in constant construction.

For more insight into the artist himself, we head to the Gaudi House Museum inside Parc Guell, home to colourful sculptures, including a long mosaic-covered bench overlooking the city. We then take in Gaudi Park.

At an appointed time, you will be transferred to Barcelona train station for the fast train to Madrid.

🚗 City Tour Highlights

Pick-up at the hotel then drive to the Gran Via, the hustling and bustling part of Madrid‘s city center. Stop to admire the beautiful architecture of the area including the Metropolis Building and the Telefonica Building among others.

Stop next at the Alcalá Gate in Plaza de la Independencia. This gate is one of Madrid’s most recognizable monuments. The Italian architect Francesco Sabatini designed it in the 18th century with a statue on top representing the cardinal virtues.

Drive next to Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid’s soccer stadium. Enjoy free time to explore the stadium.

Enjoy the city tour of Granada with a local guide. Visit Granada's impressive Alhambra Palace, set against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Discover this 11th-century marvel with its dominating red fortress towers, sumptuous palace decor, multitude of architectural styles, and magnificent gardens.

The Moors built the Alhambra as a fortress during the Muslim rule of Spain. A walk through the compound's luxurious rooms and gardens gives you an idea of the decadent lifestyle of the Moorish kings.

🏛️ Seville City Tour

Enjoy the city tour of Seville. Checking out the world's largest Gothic cathedral is a must. You can also climb the cathedral's adjoining Moorish tower, known as La Giralda. While you might have to line up, it's well worth it for the views over the city.

Visit the magnificent Alcazar (outside), a complex of palaces used by Moorish and Christian rulers through the ages. Wander through the fragrant gardens and admire the Moorish and Mudejar architecture.

Enjoy the city tour of Tangier, Morocco’s main gate to Europe. Stops include:

  • The old town, locally called The Medina
  • The American Legation
  • Dar El Oued Makhazen Kasbah

Transfer to Cape Spartel after that, the meeting point of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Cape Spartel was known to the Greeks and Romans as the “Cape of the Vines”.

Tangier – Chefchaouen

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the UNESCO-sponsored Roman ruins in Volubilis, a Berber and Roman city partly excavated by UNESCO. Volubilis was considered the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Mauretania.

The city was developed from the 3rd century BC onward as an Amazigh and proto-Carthaginian city. From the 1st century AD onward, it grew rapidly under Roman rule.

Continue to Meknes, the "Moroccan Versailles" and one of the oldest cities in the kingdom.

Visit the famous Al-Karaouine Mosque, built by Fatima Al Fihria in 857. The mosque became home to the University of Al-Karaouine, recognized as the first university in the world and one of the leading spiritual and educational centers of the Muslim world since its founding in 859.
