Historically speaking, this trip will take you back to 12th century BC and earlier dates when the Berbers first inhabited Tunisia and later on the Phoenician immigrants settled in the area and founded Carthage.

After the Phoenicians, the Romans occupied Tunisia for more than eight hundred years.

The Romans introduced Christianity and left architectural legacies.

It also houses the world's largest mosaic collection and features relics spanning from prehistoric times to the contemporary era.

Explore Carthage, the ancient Phoenician stronghold. Highlights include:

  • The Admirals Island and reconstructed pavilion with its shrine and docks
  • The ancient sanctuary of Goddess Tanit (Tophet), with hundreds of funeral steles
  • The impressive Baths of Antonin
  • Photo stop at the Punic Harbour

  • Sidi Sahbi Mausoleum (Mosque of the Barber) – dating from the 17th century and containing a Madersa (Islamic school)
